Oh boy. Actually managed to sit all they way thru Shutter last night. Bad movie. Bad, bad, bad, BORING movie. No suspense, contrived story, piss-poor acting (Who invited Joshua Jackson into the horror genre, anyway?), uneven pacing....there was just nothing enjoyable about this one at all. I almost feel guilty dropping it into the 'for sale' pile, knowing that someone else's eyes will eventually get burned by this flaming piece of shit. But not too guilty.
Not defending the movie Shutter, because it was weak, but hasn't Josh Jackson been in several horror movies? Urban Legend, Cursed, bit part in Scream 2. I guess the Skulls and Gossip were thrillers instead. Just feel like that's all I've ever seen the guy in other than the Creek.

You are correct; Josh Jackson has appeared in several horror flicks. And again I ask, who invited him to the genre? ;)

Never never trust a movie promoting itself with "From the executive producer of..."
